I have been thinking of digitizing all my photos from long time. As a first step towards that, I got few of old photos (mostly from my childhood) scanned from scancorner. The quality of images is amazing. Extremely clear and crisp. I must say that ScanCorner did an outstanding and fabulous job. I will soon be sending a next batch of photos to ScanCorner.

I was thinking about my childhood picutures to scan and have a soft copy forever with media I have but ended up with very low quality and spent lot of time on each picture to adjust. We had given 2 marriage photo albums to be digitized. One of them was my in-laws marriage album in black-white and some of the photos were damaged pretty badly. Being an active photographer for a few decades, I have a large collection of slides stacked away. Few months back, I approached a scanning service company to digitize these. At that time they did not have a service for the Indian market. When Raghu called me to inform about their service few days back, I was surprised to hear that similar service is also available in India for Indian market. I met them in person and in course of conversation realized that they are using very high quality equipment for photo scanning.I gave them a sample order to test the quality. When they got back to me with the digitized images, I tested the quality of scans using my high end color corrected monitor that I use to see quality of photos. I have lived outside India now for 27 years, and on every trip home, I would look through our collection of old family photographs, some of them dating back to the late 1930s. Over the years, I could see a deterioration in many of them due to age, humidity and repeated handling. Of course, having the collection in hard copy with no negatives meant that these memories of old times spent with loved ones (many of whom have passed away) could only be relived in our ancestral home. All of this changed when my students Rajasekhar and Raghuram informed me about their entrepreneurial venture ScanCorner, which digitizes photographs, negatives and slides. I have some very old photos from early 1980s that are affixed in thick albums with a polythene cover on the photos. I have been looking for quite sometime for digitizing and restoring these old photos because only one copy of these old photos is present for our entire family and that too is in the form of albums. I approached some local digital studios to see if they can be of any help but they said they can only scan individual photos. One day i came across ScanCorner while searching over internet for this scanning service. I sent my old albums to them. In a week's time, i got my albums back and i am so amazed to see the entire album intact. They sent a DVD along with the albums. Images on the DVD are so clean and neat. They removed all scratches, blemishes on the images and also did color restoration for faded images. They had done such a professional scanning job. I learnt later that they use very high end scanners and technically qualified people to do scanning and restoration. They also uploaded the low resolution images on their custom gallery and sent the link. I was able to easily share these photos with my friends over facebook, flickr. They also informed that they maintain a backup copy of the images which they can give if we loose our soft copies. I am highly impressed by their service and i truly recommend them to anyone looking for digitizing their old photos.

Hi all,
I have used their services for restoring some of my Aunt's old pictures. The scanned images have come out amazingly well and they have been really helpful in the whole project.
We blew up the digitized pictures and stuck them on the walls of the venue where my aunt's memorial service happened. The pictures told the full story of my aunt's life and everyone celebrated and thanked for "what a wonderful gift life is".

I highly recommend this wonderful company. My father recently passed and we found all of these old negatives and slides. I went on the internet and found ScanCorner. I contacted them and filled out the info the best I could and sent the negatives.They emailed me with info and when I did not answe rright away they called. They helped me with the choices and when I got the DVD back I was overjoyed. They are fast, professional and I will have this wonderful remeberance of my family forever.
