How it works - Photo, Negative, Slide Scanning
(1) Place Order:
Use our Place Order section to place an order for photo scanning. In the place order page, simply enter the approximate number of images you have irrespective of types and sizes. Then enter the shipping address and pay a nominal amount of 500 INR
(2) Pack the photos:
Pack all the photos in a sturdy cardbox and use proper insulating material to cover the photos. One album/envelope of photos correspond to one folder in computer. So, arrange the photos accordingly into various envelopes. Refer to our Packaging Section for more information.
(3) Ship the photos:
You can then ship the photos to our central processing facility. We have two kinds of shipment options. One, shipment pickup from your location and the other, couriering the shipment to our address by customer. Customer can choose one of these two shipment options. Also only 400 towns and cities in India are covered under shipment pickup option. All instructions are provided during order placement
(4) We count the images:
Once we receive the shipment, we count the images present sorted by type and price and raise an invoice for the same.
(5) You pay the balance amount:
We send an email with a link and balance amount to be paid. You can open that link and do the balance payment through our online payment gateway. Once you do the payment, we start processing of the images
(6) We scan the photographs:
We then scan the photographs at the resolution mentioned using state-of-the-art photo scanning equipment.
(7) We do post processing of images:
After scanning, each and every scanned image is processed using various softwares. This processing includes Color Correction, Brightness, Contrast & Shadow adjustment, Scratch and dust removal, Blemish removal, Rotation & Cropping and Red-eye removal.
(8) We create online gallery:
After post processing of images is done, we create an online gallery containing the thumbnail (resized) version of these images. We send the link to you.
(9) You approve the gallery:
You go through the online gallery and if you think any additional modifications (or photo resotration of certain images) to be done, you inform us. Otherwise you approve the output.
(10) We ship the DVD & originals:
Once you approve the output, we write the images on a DVD and ship the DVD along with originals back to your address

Packaging is an important aspect customer should take care of when placing an order. Sorting hard copies can be a very cumbersome and time taking process especially with negatives which are hard to review without special equipment. After digitization, sorting and arranging images on the computer is much more convenient. Therefore the most simple / easiest solution is to simply pack all the pictures/albums/envelopes into one or several plastic bags (to protect the material from moisture), put this into a sturdy carton box and ship to us.
